International College Beirut (IC)

The project was originally designed as a one directional 47cm ribs and insitu-cast drop beams. With 33 meter long beams and 25 meter span slabs, this project was perfect for a post tension application. After the contractor’s value engineering on the structural systems, a redesign of the three buildings was done using hollow core and post-tension two ways slabs and beams, making the construction faster, cheaper and durable.
